Premera is excited to share two new videos focusing on Vaccine Myth Busting and Vaccine Community Outreach and Advocacy that can be shared with Groups.
Each video is hosted by Dr. Josephine Young, Medical Director at Premera, and features these speakers:
- Nwando Anyaoku, MD, MPH, MBA, Vice President, Chief Health Equity Officer, Swedish Health Services
- Yen Baynes, Equity & Social Justice Consultant, Washington State Department of Health
- Paul Hollie, Sr Communications Manager and Social Impact Lead, Premera Blue Cross
The first video focuses on answering questions about the vaccines, addressing vaccine advocacy and hesitancy, and provides some tips on talking to friends and family that may be reluctant or have questions about the vaccines.
The second video talks about the community outreach that is going on currently to reach underserved communities in the Greater Seattle area.
Each video is about 30 minutes in length.
Vaccine Myth Busting
We know many people have questions about the vaccine – is it safe, is it right for them, how can I talk to my family about getting the vaccine. In this video, 3 healthcare professionals talk about common questions and myths about the vaccine, advocating for yourself and family around the vaccine, and talking to friends and family. Vaccine Community Outreach and Advocacy
What’s going on in the community and how are insurers, community advocates and medical professionals working to get the vaccine into the arms of people with less access. In this video, we talk about some of the outreach methods currently underway, and what’s being done to engage communities and encourage vaccinations.
