Connexion and American Senior Resources Combine Forces to Accelerate Growth for Producers and Partners

We are excited to announce that Connexion is acquiring American Senior Resources (ASR) effective March 2022. With this merger, ASR and Connexion will become the leading General Agency of Medicare and Individual Medical plans in Washington state. Connexion’s Group Medical and Group Ancillary business will continue to operate under the Connexion brand while the Senior and Individual lines, including Individual Ancillary lines will operate under the ASR brand. 

The new organization will have an unmatched ability to offer a diversified individual product portfolio (e.g. life insurance, annuities, long term care, national and regional carriers, etc.), scale existing partner programs (Provider Alliance Program), provide more sales and marketing opportunities for producers (carrier events and co-marketing), and ultimately reach more underserved seniors and individuals in the Northwest.

What is Connexion acquiring?  Connexion is acquiring American Senior Resources, including its business portfolio, physical assets, and its staff. ASR will be combined with Connexion. 
How will producers benefit from this acquisition?  This acquisition combines the strength of two leading Northwest insurance agencies, providing greater access to affordable health care and other financial services for our customers.  
 
Producers will have access to a broader portfolio of products and a more dedicated focus on improving your overall experience with us. Also, with our expanded footprint, producers will have the opportunity to reach out to new clients throughout Washington.  
Will the agency continue to participate in current programs, e.g., Provider Alliance Program, Producer Referral Program, Partner Referral Program?  Yes, we will continue our participation with current programs and will explore opportunities to expand in the future.  
Will our contracts change?  For now, it is business as usual. This means contracts remain the same, and as we move through the integration, we are committed to keeping you apprised of any changes.

Will we have access to more products/lines of business?   Yes, and we will share more news about our more robust product portfolio later in 2022.

Will there be a change to the technology we currently use? Connecture? My Business Portal? Appointments Plus?  For now, it is business as usual. We anticipate there will be some technology changes and we will share details as we learn more.
